Pedram Gharani is Lead Data Scientist at UPMC. He previously worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in Pitt's Public Health Dynamics Laboratory and, during his doctoral studies at Pitt's School of Computing and Information, as both a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a Research Assistant developing navigation technology for visually impaired individuals. Earlier, he was a Research Assistant at the University of Iowa. Gharani holds a PhD in Information Science from Pitt, a master's degree from the University of Tehran, and additional graduate coursework from the University of Iowa.
