The Center for Creativity partnered with RDS@Pitt for Data Science Day 2025 to create a hands-on art installation encapsulating people’s emotions and feelings about AI throughout the conference.

During Data Science Day 2025, RDS@Pitt, the School of Computing and Information, and the College of Business Administration hosted a Solution Sprints Advisory Board Roundtable. This activity brought together students, staff, faculty, and industry professionals for fast-paced, collaborative work sessions centered on real-world applications of responsible data science, actionable insights, and networking.
As we look ahead to Data Science Day 2025, RDS@Pitt is excited to announce that Andy Hannah, chair of the RDS@Pitt Advisory Board and a respected leader in data science, will deliver a keynote address on the future of data.

One of the best ways to showcase student-led research is through poster presentations, where scholars can share their insights, receive valuable feedback, and connect with experts across disciplines.
On Jan. 17, 2025, Dr. Kendra Oliver presented on the Responsible Data Science initiative developed by RDS@Pitt community to a class of data science master students at Vanderbilt University, offering a compelling discussion on the role of frameworks in guiding ethical data practices. Her talk emphasized the delicate balance between performance and principles, demonstrating why responsible data science must be both rigorous and adaptable to real-world contexts.
